Mother's Day Clay Flowers!
🌸💕 Mother’s Day Clay Flower Project at ARTROOM101 💐✨
At ARTROOM101, we believe in the power of art to express love—and what better occasion than Mother’s Day to show appreciation through creativity?
For this special project, our young artists poured their hearts (and hands!) into crafting delicate clay flowers—one petal at a time—to celebrate the most important women in their lives: their moms. 🫶

This wasn’t just a craft—it was a meaningful journey. While shaping and building these beautiful flowers, students practiced fine motor skills, patience, and attention to detail. They learned that making something for someone they love takes time and care—and that’s what makes it special.
We also used this moment to reflect on how much moms do for their children. Through this activity, our students were reminded to love, respect, and be thankful for their mothers. And of course, handmade art is one of the most heartfelt gifts a child can offer. 🖐️🎨

🌹 How to Make Clay Roses – ARTROOM101 Style:
Want to try it at home? Here’s the step-by-step process our students followed:
-
Start with a clay log about 10 inches (or 25 cm) in length.
-
Tear off 14–15 small pieces of clay and roll them into balls. Don’t worry if they’re not perfect!
-
Take the 3 smallest balls, flatten them into petal shapes, and line them up.
-
Roll the three petals together to form the rose bud.
-
Set the bud aside. Then flatten the remaining balls to make the outer petals.
-
Add petals one at a time, overlapping each slightly, and pinch the edges gently for a more realistic look.
-
Voilà! A beautiful clay rose made with love!

This Mother’s Day, we didn’t just teach art—we taught gratitude, love, and creative expression.
To all the moms out there: thank you for everything you do. These little flowers are for you. 💗
